A fan's words on Peter Allen..

We all know how Liza valued her personal identity, she wanted to be
known as Liza Minnelli and not as Judy Garlands daughter.

The same situation existed with Peter & Liza. At the time of their
marriage, and there after, Liza was famous and becoming MORE famous.
Many reporters referred to Peter as Mr. Minnelli.
Peter wanted his own identity so he broke up with Liza and pursued his
own career.
On the same day he walked out on Liza, he fired Chris Bell, the other
half of his act. Liza and Peter remained close friends.
In a few short years Peter became a well known and respected writer and
entertainer. One song that he co-wrote,
Arthurs Theme. won an oscar.

Perhaps best known for his extravaganza shows with the Rockettes at
The Radio City Music Hall in the early 80's, [80 &81] He toured with
The Rockettes and it was a sellout show.
His Carnegie Hall shows were also
sellouts and the hardest ticket in town to get.

He seemed to have great respect for Judy Garland. The song he wrote for
her was
titled, "Quiet please, There's a Lady on Stage." wow!

Peter was called the THUNDER FROM
DOWN UNDER.........

Never hesitate to watch or listen to Peter
Allen. He had it all.

like angels flying above,

Liza you make me stand up tall,

you make me believe in what I want to believe,

you're the same person on and off stage,

you never ever deceive,

When I think of my wonderful Liza may,

I think of survival and that I'll always pull through,

I think of all the magic you gave me,

I wish I could sing beside you,

I wish I could tell you how much you mean to me,

that I'll always be supporting you,

I still remember your magical hugs,

you made all my dreams come true,

and even though your miles away,

and I can only see you on TV,

I look at you and it bring a smile,

the way you encouraged me,

I love you Liza, my Liza May,

you'll never truly know how I feel,

But I know in my heart there was a special bond,

you make my dreams become real,

There are very few people that can touch you soul, having never met them before. Liza has given me more courage and more strength than I ever thought I would have. Through her music, through her words. She amazes me and I will always be in awe of such a fantastic performer and in my eyes, my mentor.
