Movie musicals in recent years have suffered and I believe it is because the lead characters have not been dynamic vocal artists. Sunset Blvd is a great story and sublime score and I believe the only performer around today to do justice to the lead is Liza Minnelli who has a strong & soulful voice and is a great dramatic actress and at this stage of her life I really feel that Liza is ready for her big close up...would earn her another Oscar and be a huge hit!
