Back to her best: Liza Minnelli was in great spirits as she gave a performance of New York, New York in the Big Apple at the TV Land Awards

Liza Minnelli was back to her best last night as she took to the stage to sing New York, New York at the TV Land Awards in the Big Apple.
Despite recently undergoing knee surgery, the 64-year-old star seemed to be recovered and in good spirits as she took to the stage in a sparkling black shirt.
Her performance comes after releasing her latest album Confessions late last year, which was based around informal recordings Minnelli made with producer Bruce Roberts years ago.
And the singer, who had to cancel a string of US shows last year due to pneumonia, is set to tour the UK and Europe this summer, with concerts in London, Manchester , Belgium and France in July.
Liza, who says she loves working and needs to keep busy, admitting: ‘If I sat down, I’d never get up’, was in the company of television icons from hit US shows over the decades.
