Liza Minnelli — who won an Oscar in 1973 for “Cabaret” — was honored over Academy Awards weekend at the Los Angeles-Italia Film Fest.
Minnelli picked up the Jack Valenti Lifetime Achievement Award, previously given to Al Pacino andAnjelica Huston.
Mark Canton — who produced Jennifer Aniston’s“Cake” — presented the award.
Minnelli quipped, “My father, Vincente Minnelli, directed some of the greatest motion pictures Hollywood has produced, and from him I received two wonderful things: my love of movies and my Italian heritage.”
Backstage she caught up with Franco Nero and Nastassja Kinski.
