Liza Minnelli gave a surprise performance Sunday at Bemelmans Bar.
The singer was spotted arriving with a group including Michael Feinstein and Clint Holmes to see Billy Stritch and Jim Caruso play during the duo’s Sunday night residency.
Spies said: “Liza and Michael joined Billy and Jim to play a couple of numbers, including ‘I Love a Violin,’ written by Liza’s godmother, Kay Thompson.”
“This is the best party in New York!” Minnelli exclaimed. We hear that Minnelli will be in the house Friday at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center to see Cher on her “Dressed to Kill” tour with Cyndi Lauper.
