Tony and Academy Award winner Liza Minnelli will star in Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men's Chorus' upcoming concert A Winter Spectacular on December 13 and 14 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The evenings will feature Broadway hits, pop standards, and holiday favorites. Minnelli will be accompanied by her own band, and will perform select numbers with the Chorus. Rich Cook serves as artistic director of the Orange County Gay Men's Chorus with Bob Gunn as assistant director, and Paul E. Doyle as producer. Minnelli's newest CD Liza Minnelli: Live at the Winter Garden was recently released. Her most recent Broadway show, Liza's at the Palace, won a 2009 Tony for Best Special Theatrical Event. She also won Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Musical for Flora the Red Menace and The Act. She won the Academy Award for Cabaret and the Emmy Award for Liza With a "Z".

kick-off its star-filled twelfth season, Men Alive - The Orange County Gay Men’s Chorus will welcome a very special guest star: the legendary LIZA MINNELLI. This inimitable showbiz icon will perform with the chorus at the 3,000-seat Segerstrom Hall on the campus of The Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa for “LIZA MINNELLI with Men Alive in A WINTER SPECTACULAR”—an evening of Broadway hits, Pop Standards, and, of course, Holiday Music.
Ms. Minnelli will grace the audience with a full signature set accompanied by her own band, and will also be collaborating with the chorus on some special select numbers. Single tickets go on sale to the general public on October 1.
